PMI Standard Development
The key reason behind PMP Certification training’s universal recognition is the standards that are followed by the course. The standards are developed by following a careful approach that ensures maximum optimization. Below is how the Project Management Institute (PMI) develops standards:
1. The standards are developed by a committee that comprises of chairman, vice- chairman, and volunteers.
2. The committee holds meetings over the duration of many months to draft and refine the standards.
3. The draft that is developed is reviewed by the PMI standards Member’s Advisory Group, and other experts.
4. The reviewed draft is then made public. Based on the comments of the general public, the draft is revised again.
5. The resulting standard is sent for approval to volunteers that validate each PMI standard.
6. Upon reference by the PMI standards Manager, the new standard is finally sent for approval of the CEO and the president of PMI.
