Social Media Marketing Tips on Facebook And X

If you are reading this right now, there is a very good chance that you are logged in to your Facebook. No I am not reading your cache, but I am speculating it through those social media facts that tells us how much this generation is obsessed with all the social media platforms out there. In today's digital world we are all living two lives at once. One on the streets and the other on Facebook, Twitter (X), YouTube, or other social platforms.

Out of 8 billion people in the world, there are a staggering 2.4 billion active social media users on Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram, Youtube, Google+, Snapchat, Pinterest, etc. in their daily routines. With such massive traffic on these platforms, it only makes sense that marketers have fully embraced these websites to achieve outstanding results. Here are some of the statistics and strategies for 3 of the leading social networks:

Facebook Statistics

According to Facebook statistics, 72% of all US adults visit Facebook more than twice a day. Facebook adds 500,000 users every day worldwide so that makes six new profiles every second around the globe. Conversely, there are estimated 81 million fake profiles on Facebook. But in some ways it doesn’t matter because the marketers just need eyeballs to see to see their ads. Whether a lead comes from the fake account or original one, a lead is a lead. Groups of fake accounts that don't see any of your ads are another story, but something to keep in mind when analyzing overall campaign statistics and ROI.

Facebook is the biggest hub of all the social media marketing. Businesses, even those in newer markets like the Middle East and Asia, strive to promote themselves on Facebook. If only China would give the green light for Facebook use, the number of Facebook accounts on the planet could potentially double.

Marketing On Facebook

There are over 80 million active social media business pages whereas only 20% out of these pages do paid marketing on Facebook. Most businesses started out years ago or start out now seeking free organic reach, but soon after realize that you'll need to Pay To Play for the most part. Facebook, because of his mind-boggling algorithm, give you the exact details of your audience and allows you to target them directly by one of his option called audience creation. In this option, you can create an audience according to your business who are more likely to buy your product or service. Later on, it also provides you accurate statistics so in the future you can do better in your Facebook marketing. With over 80% share of all the social media marketing, Facebook is the king among social media platforms.

Twitter Statistics

Twitter may not be as big as Facebook, but it is the most popular platform to follow your favorite celebrities, sports stars, politicians or to bring a revolution if you live in certain countries.

With the traffic rate of over 700 million people per month, Twitter is still viewed by many as the second best social media platform with the most diverse audience.

There is a total of 2 billion accounts on Twitter, but only 400 million are active users. Twitter took just three years, two months and one day to get total billion tweets which is a record in itself.

Marketing On Twitter

The average Twitter user has just 300 followers. With the rate of 6,000 tweets per second, Twitter is the most dynamic platform even surpassing Facebook in this category. Which is why it is not the first option for the social media marketers too. Twitter has a very low tendency to show any add on the top because of its ever growing tweets and 140 characters restriction.

However, Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey is very keen to make it marketer friendly by introducing many new algorithms like Facebook, but it still has a very long road ahead to reach the landmarks that Facebook has already achieved.

YouTube Statistics:

With the uploading rate of over 300 hours of video per minute, YouTube is undoubtedly the biggest video streaming portal in the world. On an average, YouTube receives over billion video views only from smartphones every day. And collectively, YouTube stream over 1 billion views per day and over 4 billion hours of videos per day. While having 76 different language navigation options, YouTube covers almost 95% of all the internet users.

Marketing On YouTube:

YouTube is not as big as Facebook or Twitter when it comes to social media marketing, but it is a platform which have more potential than other platforms. Many pundits of social media marketing beliefs that video advertisement is the best tool to market any brand that is why video gets more reach than image posts on Facebook and Twitter.

That is why YouTube being the biggest video streaming website has all the potential to surpass any other platform in its path of becoming the largest shareholder of all the social media marketing. It is not the shiny new platform that it was 5-10 years ago but it could arguably be viewed as the best one, depending on your business goals.

Final Words:

Facebook, Twitter, YouTube are not the only social media platforms which social media marketers are using. Social media marketing is such a vast subject that it is nearly impossible for us to ignore it. As time goes on these platforms are coming up with more and more features, which make it easier for brands to reach their target audience.
