Could you use some extra cash?
It'd be nice to have someone hand it to you on a platter, but we all know that's not going to happen.
Still, there are some pretty easy ways to raise cash if you're willing to make the effort.
1. Review Websites
If you have any web browser savvy, why not get paid for your opinions?
Research different platforms that will pay you to review websites. They take about 20 minutes each, and the money goes to your PayPal account. After qualifying with the review test, you'll start receiving websites to review in your inbox.
2. Take out a Home Equity Line of Credit
This one only applies if you're fortunate to live in a home with a steadily appreciating value and you have good credit.
If that's the case though, you can tap into your home's equity by opening up a HELOC. Interest rates are low you can borrow up to your limit whenever the need for money arises. And you can use the money for anything — not just repairs or updates to your home.
3. Be Open to Unconventional Work
Are you out of work and need more funds? How about offering to babysit or walk neighbors' dogs? Perhaps you could mow lawns or wash cars.
You may even be able to go grocery shopping for an elderly or immune-compromised neighbor or consider driving for any of the growing number of food delivery services right now.
4. Look for Spare Change
If you think this is a ridiculous suggestion, it might help you to know that Americans throw away almost $62 million dollars in loose change each year. So keep an eye on the ground, in couch cushions, and even in the trash. It won't be a lot, but it can add up.
5. Sell off Assets
Do you have recent model devices or electronics that you don't use anymore? What about books, DVDs, or CDs? You may even have an old automobile, leaving you to question, "how can I junk my car?" for extra cash.
Chances are, you have at least a few things lying around that could bring in a little (or a lot) of cash. After all, one person's garbage is another's treasure.
6. Buy and Sell Domain Names
People are willing to pay a premium for the perfect domain name. And if you happen to already own the name, you'll be the recipient of that easy cash.
You can invest in a domain name for as little as $0.99 and after sitting on it for a bit, you may find someone who really wants to buy it. Look for names with commercial value and valuable keywords, then snatch them up.
7. Rent Out Your House
If you have extra space in your house that gets no use, it could be making you money. Through services like Airbnb, that extra space could be the ideal vacation spot for someone visiting your town.
In addition, movie companies are always looking for homes for locations shots. Could be worth a try when you are seeking quick cash.
It's Not Hard to Raise Cash
Try any (or all) of the seven ways above to raise cash to get some extra dough in your pocket. Of course, you won't make millions. But every bit helps.
