Business trips can be stressful and extremely busy. Often times, business travelers don't get a moment to relax. If you need to travel to San Ramon, California for business though, there are lots of terrific options for indulgence and relaxation.

The first step in making your trip more relaxing is to find the right place to stay. Picking the right hotel with the right amenities and travel bags can start your trip off on the right foot.

Hotels

San Ramon is located about 25 miles east of Oakland, California. But you don't need to head into that big city to find fantastic hotels. Many business travelers will want to find hotels right nearby the Bishop Ranch Business Park. The Hyatt House San Ramon is located just minutes from the business park and features classic California architectural style. Its rooms are spacious and modern, and come with free Wi-Fi and a desk to work at. The hotel also has a pool and a 24-hour fitness center for its customers. Business travelers will also appreciate the on-site business center with free public computer access.

The Residence Inn by Marriott and San Ramon Marriott are also located nearby. They are lovely hotels with comparable amenities though they both tend to be more expensive than the Hyatt.

Attractions

After long days of meetings and conferences, business travelers may want to kick back, relax, and de-stress in the evenings. Bodylines Day Spa is a short three-minute walk from the Hyatt and offers world-class massages and facials. If you are bringing your family along for the trip, consider stopping at the Lindsay Wildlife Experience. There are lots of educational exhibits and demonstrations, and kids will get the chance to touch and hold some of the animals as well.

Some business travelers are looking to let off steam at night, so ShBoom Nightclub is a great choice. It's within walking distance to many area hotels, so you can drink and not have to worry about driving. ShBoom bills itself as the San Ramon Valley's premier dance club. If you are coming with a large group, you can reserve a private room.

If you can extend your business trip for a day or two, you may enjoy hitting the links at Canyon Lakes Golf Club & Brewery. The brewery has 10 rotating brews on tap. The golf course features gorgeous mountain backdrops, though you'll want to book your tee time ahead of time because slots do fill quickly.

Restaurants

Even the busiest business traveler usually has time to enjoy dinner at one of the local restaurants. Clementine's is a favorite among the locals. They offer classic American fare and most of their menu is moderately priced. If you are looking for something more upscale, there are several terrific local steakhouses. Forbes Mill Steakhouse and McNamara's Steak and Chop House are both excellent and get consistently good reviews. The Peasant and the Pear is another fabulous high-end restaurant. The menu has a lot of variety and they offer lots of vegetarian and vegan options. It's a great place to go with a large group of people who may have different dietary preferences.

You can make your next business trip to San Ramon much more palatable by exploring some of the local attractions and chowing down at the local restaurants. And if you are looking to de-stress and relax, be sure to sign up for a massage at one of the San Ramon spas.
