As a cricket fan, everyone who loves cricket keeps waiting for the thrill of some special tournament which proves the real power of any cricket team. There are many tournaments like this, one of which is the world cup. The cricket world cup is played after every four years and all the cricket fans wait for this moment. The moment becomes even more interesting when your own country hosts the world cup and the cricket team of your country fights in the final. The team who wins this world cup title is considered to be the most powerful cricket team.

So far Australia has won the world cup most of the time. India has won this two times. Recently, one former cricket minister of Sri Lanka stated about the world cup final played between India and Srilanka in 2011. India won that world cup final match and got the trophy again after 28 years. Before 2011, India also won this world cup for the first time in 1983, when Kapil Dev was the captain of the Indian cricket team.

According to the former Sports Minister of Sri Lanka Mahindananda Aluthgamage,  the final match of world cup 2011, played between India and Sri Lanka was fixed and SriLankan team lost that match intentionally.

After this statement, the former cricket captain of SriLankan team, Kumar Sangakkara and Mahela Jayawardene were not happy. They also expressed their reply over this strange statement of the former sports minister. They said that there was nothing like this as was told by Mahindananda Aluthgamage. They also said that if really there was anything like this, prove it first before telling it. Before this, the former minister said that the final played between Sri Lanka and India in the Wankhede stadium of Mumbai was sold by Sri Lanka to India and he has proof about it.

While talking with the News First channel, the minister disclosed this secret. But just like you people, we also thought, why he didn't open the secret not that time when it really happened. On this, he said that he did not want to take any player name in this matter but the truth is the truth and can't be changed. He said that the team of Sri Lanka was very powerful that time and could win the match easily however, it lost just because of the match-fixing at that time.

In the same reference, he further added that he is still on his words about what he said about the final match of 2011 and he is also ready to argue with anyone on this matter. He further added that though he would not tell the name of any special player regarding this all, it is sure that some group was involved there that time. On this, the former captain Kumar Sankara said that we don't need to guess anything about it. For better knowledge of this all, they should get a deep knowledge about it before speaking in public like this about the final cricket match
